Relevate
Academy 360: one model that develops participants and gives employers credible evidence of what they can do.
My role: Designed the Academy 360 model and led academy authoring with Relativity's subject-matter experts (contract, 2025 to 2026).
The Challenge
Relativity's Relevate program builds talent for the legal technology ecosystem through structured, globally accessible academies. For that to work, employers need to trust that someone finishing an academy can do the work, so the program had to produce evidence of capability as well as teach.
The Approach
I designed Academy 360, a full-cycle model where assessment, learning and progression feed each other. Participants move through mentor-supported sprints; each sprint ends in work that is evaluated against defined criteria; and progression depends on demonstrated skill. I then led the authoring of academy curricula, turning source material from Relativity's experts into sprint-by-sprint content and mentor preparation.
Results
- Ascent Academies across Engineering, Product Management and Customer Success tracks
- Sprint-based progression with mentor evaluation against defined criteria
- A measurement layer that makes skill acquisition visible to employers
- Curricula authored with Relativity's subject-matter experts, including mentor talking points for every live session
Workforce development runs on the same logic as assessment. If a program cannot show whether someone learned something, it is guesswork with a certificate at the end. Academy 360 treats every sprint as a small, observable test of a real skill, which is what lets an employer read the outcome.
This work was delivered under contract through Nerds.family in 2025 and 2026. The program is run by Relativity.
